Time Travel - Real or Myth?

Time Travel - Real or Myth?

“My thoughts about the Un-Realistic Theory of Time Travel”

From a very long time, the concept of time travel was hammering my mind. Whether it is just an idea or thought shared by human minds through telepathy over generations to explore the possibility of time travel or it is the experience of someone who traveled back in time long back and the stories are being passed over to generations in broken and scattered pieces.

The thoughts used to come in bits and pieces but finally felt to give those thoughts a shape and hence writing this article so that people having similar thoughts can read it and give their valuable inputs; It doesn’t matter how many people agrees or disagrees but my objective is just to share my thoughts.

General Perception about Time Travel

I have watched many movies and heard lots stories and everywhere there is a common phenomena is which says ‘Human can travel back to a particular moment of time using either a time machine, or a wormhole or just magic’.

The greatest example of time travel is from the famous movie series of Hollywood of 80s-90s “Back to the Future” in which a young boy comes in contact with a scientist and got the chance to travel back as well as in future time using a time machine car.

Many other movies from different countries depicted about time travel and changing certain events or moments of that time to impact something from the present time.

Even in our general life, we all sometimes imagine about travelling back to a particular moment of time and change something which may help us to achieve something in our present, say some career goal, some life event, some financial thing etc., or we just want to travel back and live a moment again which we really love or care about.

Scientific Theories about Time Travel

Have watched many programs and movies on Television about time travel where scientists have used methods and ways like using wormholes which connect our present time with a certain moment from the past or transform our physical body into particles and restructure it after reaching that past time. So there are three ways for time travel which are commonly depicted –

  • ·         Using wormholes or passages to travel physically into the past
  • ·         Transform ourselves into particles using time machine and restructure back in the past.
  • ·         Using magic to go into the past

A Parallel World

There might be a thought of a parallel world somewhere in the universe where our duplicates are living a same life as ours - our clones with clone activities. And the idea is to find out that world, visit there and change the events which may impact our lives here on the Earth.

The idea of parallel world looks interesting and amazing and there is a possibility of other worlds (say human life) in the near or far distance in the universe but similar life or clone life looks impossible. And, by chance, if there is anything like it, it would be a great finding.

The Time

A way of measuring the moments by dividing them into numeric numbers and in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks years etc., basically micro to macro. Time helps to measure the micro part of a day.

So, why is time necessary for us? Because, it helps us to decide certain activities like doing anything at a particular moment of the day like going office, having breakfast lunch or dinner etc. It also helps the general people, scientists, physicists, mathematicians and academicians to observe events and calculate a course of action and set a time to start any activity.

The moment

A moment is a particular part, spot or place of time when any event or action takes place and it is either measured in seconds or minutes; and the action may occur automatically by the natural processes or done by any living being. For example – Rising of the sun and the moment when the light touches Earth or the moment when an Eagle from heights drop down to water and catches a fish etc.

So, is it real travelling the time?

Watching the science fiction movies, reading and listening about time travel stories and theories and seeing few photographic evidences on the web, I always got astonished by the ideas of time travel and sometimes used to imagine myself travelling to the past and make changes in some moments of my past life which might help to change situations of present life.

But for last few years, after continuous thinking and analyzing, I came to a conclusion that time travel (what general perception is) is not possible at all. And why it is not possible, I am explaining below.

Living beings born, grow up with time, lives up to a age and dies when their time is over, it is the biological process which takes places and it pretty natural. The time moves forward as well as the life of living beings too. There is no evidence in human history that any living being lived life backwards or their biological process moved backward. They just grow and die and their age is measured by the time – day, week, month or years and every calculation is in forward way.

So it is an ultimate truth that whatever or whoever is born or created, will die or finished when their timeline is over. Plants, animals, humans die naturally or unnaturally and their dead bodies get mixed with the soil (earth), water or fire if burnt; Similarly the non-living beings like stones or materials made up of minerals decays with time and turns up into small particles and mixes with the earth, actually their shape and form changes.

But there are practices in human civilizations too preserve their dead people with a hope of either travelling to another world or born again in future time with the same body.

So when the dead body is buried, it decays and with time converts into minerals and mixed with the soil, when it is burnt converts into ashes and the ashes are either mixed with soil or flown in water or air, ultimately the remains of the dead mixes with the natural elements. Even the bodies which are preserved, over a period of time their flesh gets decayed and they convert into mineral particles.

Hence the ultimate truth is that anything which is born, when their biological time period is over, they get destroyed and there is no chance restructuring again.

Conclusion

When, we as biological creatures, live in forward way and by passing time or age, our body decays; Then the idea of time travel is pretty odd as it is impossible to transmit our body into particles and restructure it back in the past time. There are two ultimate truths:-

  • The events took place in any period of time, can be recreated either in the present or future time; But the same time period can’t be repeated with the similar physical bodies existing at that time.
  • Biological body cannot be transformed into particles and reconstructed same as it is.

However the great minds at work may keep exploring about finding the possibilities of transforming the body into particles and reconstructing the same with searching for wormholes through which we can travel to places into the universe.

"A Date with the Darkness"

Had a "date with the darkness" on 17th March 2012; experienced a very romantic time together. Visited a garden, visited a shopping center(did window shopping with hands and nose), rode a boat and then  finally had some cold-drinks in a restaurant. The breeze with its sweet voice, some insects, some singing birds, some barking dogs, the sound of the waterfall and splashing water...all were together with us.

No..no !! Don't misunderstand it with any girl........ it was the real darkness.

At Hitech City(Cyberabad) of Hyderabad(A.P), there is a mall in which this Darkness is situated. It is similar the "scary room" situated at Indore(Treasure Island) where i visited with friends earlier; but this was a different and unique concept.

We six people went inside for the experience, we four were colleagues(my friends Dereje from Ethopia, Kuldeep and Vikram from Jaipur) myself and an young couple  Suri and Bhavya(i liked the name of both) from some local college of Hyderabad.

When we entered, 'blind canes' were given to us to start the journey in the darkness with eyes open. Our mentor took us inside and guided us to walk by holding the wall with one hand and using the 'cane' by other hand. It was a tunnel at first then things came on the way. Our mentor asked us to feel and identify all the things coming on the way by using our senses, except eyes(which we definitely could not use due to the darkness). We came across a garden where we felt the plants, stones, water spring, heard melodious birds singing and dogs barking, then a entered a shopping center where we felt the things of daily use. We felt the soaps, cereals, water tap, floor mopping cloths, oil containers, spices etc., and i was so lucky to identify most of the things specially the 'Life Buoy' soap{which i am using since hostel days ;)  }. Then we were taken to a boat and had a boat ride, i could sense the splash of water from the waterfall. We cracked jokes during the journey. After the boat ride we were taken to a restaurant where we made to sit after placing the order, i asked for a tin of thumbs up. There we shared our experience being in darkness. After having a nice time we came out.

For one hour in the darkness i was totally feeling like having no eyes. I realized, how a blind person may feel everyday. Earlier sometimes practiced to walk with closing eyes to identify things inside a room during hostel time...but it was for short period. This experience of being in darkness for about one hour, can't either be express in words or understand by reading; it can only be felt after going there. It was like, listening music with closed eyes or walking in a dream.

We all were very much impressed by Latha(who is a blind girl) who mentored us inside the dark room all the way. I clearly felt that how she is able to walk freely, even sense that we all visitors are in a proper line or not and guiding accordingly. She was moving so freely in the darkness just like we people, who with eyes walk normally in the daylight. At this young age, instead of the disability, she completed here Degree, PG Degree and Course in Computer application. After coming out, she asked all of us that how we felt using our all 3 senses(touch, hear and smell...except seeing)...we were speechless at first then shared our experiences.

The skills of Latha actually reminded me of my school time favorite English teacher Mr. Ghanshyam Asudaani, every morning who used to walk to the school crossing a shopping center, a bridge on the main road and climbing stairs up to third floor. He was my one of the favorite  teacher during school time and we all friends of class 11th Arts, miss him so much.

The impressive part of this visit was, after experiencing the darkness, the young couple Suri and Bhavya decided to pledge for their eye donation to enlighten someones life after death.

A very sincere thanks to our trainer Vickylee from LVPEI - Hyderabad, who provided us such a great opportunity to have that experience; if she wouldn't have taken us for this trip....experiencing the real life of a blind person was totally impossible for us.

Never being on a formal date, but the first time dating with the 'darkness' is an unforgettable moment of life.

Good night friends :)

The rythm of life in Jhabua - Some experiences of the Tribal kingdom

12/03/2012, Hyderabad

A tribal young man playing flute during Bhagoria fare at Jhabua

Writing again after long time; so why not start with writing about the starting evidences of human; which is called, and existed between the (so called)modern civilization, as "the Tribal"

The world 'tribal' relates to the people/communities, who follows the ancient way of living(It is an another issue that ST is now a category as per Govt. rules for the well being of the Tribals, but nothing great is done for them till date on an average of overall, other than 'perfect paper reports' by the Govt. departments and people/organizations who are working for the Tribal welfare).

The earlier mankind(Homo Sapien) used to live under trees, caves and open grounds with the mode survivals - animal flesh, water, fruits, plant routes etc. Slowly they gather together and became different from their fellow brothers(other living beings called as Animals now) by developing their way of communication, eating habits and innovating new things for their survival and safety. The progressed civilizations (who left or forgot their traditions during development) called themselves as 'Developed/Modern people' and called other communities who are still following the ancient traditions and living in between nature as 'the Tribals', by categorizing/considering them as backward people.

Personally, I feel myself very lucky for getting chances to experiences to live between them and feel the brotherhood of the traditional people called as 'Tribal' by the modern society.

Contd..

The city is situated in Madhya Pradesh and well connected with other big cities like Indore, Dahod, Bhopal through NH 59. Though well connected with the modern world, the natives of Jhabua following their ancient culture and saved it, now their unique identification. Bhill's and Bhilala's are basically the natives of this district. Their is a division of superiority between these two castes, instead of same language and culture; Bhills are considered them as superior to Bhilala's and even they do not face each other or visit each other's villages or participate in any community programs together.
